Lansing Promise at Heritage Fest

Lansing Promise Community Engagement Coordinator Sydney Meredith connected with local scholars and families at the annual Heritage Fest in late September, helping raise awareness of the opportunities available through Lansing Promise. Hosted by LAFCU, the free, family-friendly celebration brought the Greater Lansing community together to celebrate cultural diversity, share traditions, and build connections through live entertainment, cultural performances, food, and activities for all ages. Throughout the event, Sydney engaged with students and families, shared information about Lansing Promise scholarships and student support services, and encouraged scholars to explore their options for continuing their education after high school. By meeting students where they are and building relationships within the community, Lansing Promise continues to connect more scholars with the resources and support they need to pursue their postsecondary goals.
