LCC Guest Student

Taking Classes at Lansing Community College (LCC) as a Guest Student

Students who are Promise eligible and attending a non-Promise college or university may still use their Lansing Promise Scholarship to attend LCC classes as a guest student to earn additional transferable credits.  Lansing Promise will cover tuition, books, and all course fees for classes while attending as a LCC guest student.  For financial aid purposes, do not change your FAFSA to LCC, keep it at your primary college or university.   Here are three easy steps to follow:

STEP 1

Go to the LCC website to apply: LCC Application  
Note: If you have never applied to LCC, you click “Sign Up” link at the bottom of the page.  If you have previously applied and were accepted to LCC, go to step 2.

As a guest student, you will need to apply and select "guest" as the application type.  

STEP 2

Once you are accepted to Lansing Community College:

• Activate your LCC student account

• Send your unofficial transcript from your primary college to Lansing Community College.

STEP 3

Complete the Lansing Promise Transfer Form so may share your Lansing Promise eligibility with Lansing Community College.
