Lansing Promise Scholarship Application

Lansing Promise or Promise Guarantee Acceptance Form
Completethe LP Acceptance Form to officially accept the Lansing Promise or the Promise Guarantee Scholarship.  Tell us which college or program you will be attending so we can send your scholarship funds directly to their financial aid office. You must have your college ID number to complete this form. 
This form is emailed to eligible seniors in February and needs to be submitted by May 1st.

Lansing Promise Transfer Form
The Lansing Promise scholarship is transferable among our five Promise Postsecondary Partner Schools: Lansing Community College (LCC), Michigan State University (MSU), Davenport University (DU), or The University of Olivet (UO), and Douglas J Aveda Institute.  Complete this form if you are transferring from one LP partner program to another.
This form should be completed by an eligible Lansing Promise scholar 6 weeks before transferring.  Eligibility Requirements: Students have to live, attend, and graduate within the Lansing School District boundaries, 9th—12th grades, from a public, private, home, charter, online, or GED program.

Lansing Promise LCC Guest Student Form
Students who are Promise eligible and attending a non-Promise college or university may still use their Lansing Promise Scholarship to attend LCC classes as a guest student to earn additional transferable credits.
This form should be completed by an eligible Lansing Promise scholar 6 weeks before starting classes at Lansing Community College.  Eligibility Requirements: Students have to live, attend, and graduate within the Lansing School District boundaries, 9th—12th grades, from a public, private, home, charter, online, or GED program.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to apply for financial aid for college, career school, or graduate school.  Completion is a requirement for the Lansing Promise Scholarship.
This form should be completed during a student’s senior year.  The FAFSA window opens in October and should be completed by May 1st.
