AN INVITATION TO FIND YOUR PLACE IN THIS WORK.

Time
LansingMENTORS is mentoring program serving our future Promise Scholars. Interested individuals and partners can expect to receive information and process orientation, go through standard background check procedures, and upon completion, will formally become a LansingMENTOR. This is about more than any one individual person or organization, this is about the strengthening of our entire community and you have just taken an important step toward that end.
-
Talent
We are looking for those individuals & organizations interested in providing the following:
1) Mentorship around professional and career related topics for Promise Scholars ages 18-24.
2) Paid internship or apprenticeship opportunities currently available or on the horizon.
3) Starting the conversation with the Promise team about what this could look like in your business.
This is about innovation and moving the needle on success after high school. Specifically through local talent development, local talent retention, and the building of local leadership.

Treasure
We fulfill our mission by raising and investing funds to provide scholarship dollars and strategic investments in readiness, success initiatives, and career development for all eligible Lansing students, awarding funds at Lansing Community College, Michigan State University, Olivet College, and more to come.
Where a student lives, attends and graduates within the Lansing School District boundaries (from 9th through 12th grades) they are a potential Promise Scholar.
Upon acceptance, each scholar is eligible to receive gap filling tuition assistance over a 4 year window to complete their associate’s degree at LCC, become certified in a skilled or professional trade, or receive an award of up to $8,500 toward their first two years at MSU or Olivet College.
